A note to BAA:
"I found your site from a CNN thing on YouTube. I had just minutes earlier written the following note to NBC news when i saw what looked to be a dubbed bugler, and they tried to put it across as real.
Here is what i wrote:
I think photo shopping a news photo is just as offensive as it would be to convey to the public that a person is playing the bugle LIVE when it was not being played.
The report where it alludes that a certain gentleman is playing the bugle, i don't see any keys on the bugle being pressed that coincide with the sound heard. So how does this happen?
Is the man miming? If so don't try to give the public who could not be there the FALSE impression that he is.
I find it horribly offensive for people to lip synch or play a cassette tape instead of doing what they should be able to do live.
Make believe is for kindergarteners. I don't care if they want to play a recording of taps at a ceremony.....but i do care.... I do care very much when a reporter collaborates to make a blatant misrepresentation to the viewing public.
If we cant trust news to report real facts what good are they. It really kicks your reputation in the ass!
Our men and women's sacrifices were real and to not be able to afford them a REAL set of taps is ridiculous.
Thank you for doing what you are doing.
I try to do as much as I can. A firefighter friend of mine and I do what we can. Visit www.herostribute.com "
