We're always looking for enthusiastic men and women to help with our organization.
(NOTE: All buglers will be required to sound Taps for their State Director, or another designated officer of the organization; this is part of our verification process, to ensure that we are sending out capable players. Until you pass a Taps audition, you will not receive bugler requests, to represent BAA as a bugler).
If you wish to expedite this process, contact your *State Director as soon as you register on this web page
Bugler Volunteers can be male or female. They can play a traditional bugle with no valves, or can perform the ceremony on a Trumpet, Cornet, Flugelhorn, or a 1, 2 or 3 valved bugle. This does not include use of the digital recording in the "Ceremonial Bugle". The bugler can be of any age as long as they can play the 24 notes of Taps with an ease and style that will do honor to both the Veterans, their families, and the burial detail performing the service.
